Games

At Squiggle and Sound, we use games to make literacy learning engaging and effective. Games support high-repetition practise, build motivation, and encourage meaningful home learning.

We love helping children make reading and spelling fun and achievable. Each session includes online and printable literacy games that reinforce phonics, reading, and spelling, using evidence-based strategies so your child’s skills continue to grow beyond the session. Games and activities are provided every session, giving you the tools to practise with your child at home.

Our Initial Code Online Memory Games linked below, align with the Sounds-Write and Little Learners Love Literacy scope and sequences. These games are designed to maximise repeated reading and writing practice.

To extend learning, ask your learner to read each word aloud and write one of the matched words on a whiteboard, or keep score by writing both players’ words.
